A Lynbrook man accused of attacking a PSEG employee Saturday in East Rockaway is facing numerous charges, according to police.

Authorities say the 61-year-old employee was working on Atlantic Avenue when 33-year-old John Spears confronted him around 11 a.m.

The two got into a verbal argument. Spears then began to strike the man, knocking off and breaking his glasses.

The victim called 911 immediately. Spears was arrested and transported to a hospital.

Police say he became aggressive and caused $1,000 worth of damage after kicking a wall.

The charges against him include assault, criminal mischief and menacing.

A judge set his cash bail at $10,000.
