An East Northport man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stopping traffic on the Long Island Expressway and shattering someone's window during a road rage incident.
Police say Thomas Evers, 30, was driving eastbound near Powells Lane in Old Westbury.
Evers is accused of stopping his vehicle perpendicular to traffic in the center lane, causing other drivers to stop. The suspect then jumped onto the hood of a driver's 2024 Nissan Sentra and kicked the windshield, causing it to shatter, police say.
Evers was charged with criminal mischief in the second degree and leaving the scene of a property damage automobile accident.
