Police are searching for three men who robbed a Sunset Park spa at knifepoint early Sunday. The robbery happened around 3:22 a.m. inside the business at 772 57th St., according to the NYPD. Investigators say the individuals walked in with knives and ordered multiple people to lie on the floor. The spa's manager, who asked to stay anonymous for safety reasons, says the three men came in pretending to be customers, asking for prices, but quickly pulled out knives and turned extremely violent. The attackers forced the four workers and four customers to lay face down on the ground at the back of the spa. Exclusive video obtained by News 12 shows the men violently punch and kick anyone who tried to speak up. The manager says five people were taken to the hospital, including two people with serious bruises. She also says the men stole thousands of dollars in cash, jewelry, jackets and shoes from customers, before running away.
The spa is listed online as a 24-hour business.
Police released photos of two of the men they believe were involved and are asking for the public’s help identifying them. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
