We are officially in the season of autumn as we fall back into New 12, these 12, Kimberly B joins us live for the West New York farmers market that's held every Friday. What local vendors will be there today? Kim. Good morning Simon in Asia. Yes, we're starting off with honey. What is more fall than that? I'm joined by Elizabeth Kasner of Uncle Gordon's be sanctuary. I know this is a very near and dear legacy to your heart. You're following your father's footsteps. That's correct. He started this over 40 years and I made a promise to him that we my son and I would continue his legacy to show the importance of how bees are needed in our, in our world and also the benefits of honey. Now, what I admire about you is that you actually live full time in Miami and you make sure that you're here every single Friday in New Jersey, which is an unbelievable responsibility to be here. And I see that you have something just in time for the winter and fall for allergies specifically. Correct. Correct. We have the unfiltered raw honey, which is excellent for people that suffer from allergies. It's very high, potent. It's a little past here because it has all the bee pollen and the propolis that the bees make and it's very nutritious. And I tell people to take it twice in the morning and at night time and within a week and a half, they will feel so much better with their allergies. And we're sitting in West New York, but you're based out of North Bergen. How is it developing honey and collecting the bees, taking care of the bees in an urban area? Well, like I said, we have a huge backyard. So we have all the pollination flowers that the bees need. We have a water fountain. So they have everything that they need to survive and to keep producing the honey. But let's take a taste before we wrap up here. Sure. Yes. So do you have your be your honey? It's really unbelievable to look at. So this is what people are going to be able to taste at 20 when you get started today. Thank you, Elizabeth. Let's give it a taste. Oh, wow. We are officially in the season of autumn and we fall back into News. 12. News twelve's Kimberly Buck joining us live for the West New York Farmers Market that's held every Friday. So which local vendors will be there today? Kimberly. Yes, Simon. So now we're moving from sweet treats to fun activities. I'm here with Andy Lewis and you are the co founder and creator of Natura Crafts and Creative Good. So tell us a little bit about the business model. So primarily we're selling watercolor kits and these are homemade Diy all in one watercolor kits. It's everything you need to get started on your watercolor journey. We've got a mini palette. These are paint drops. This is a practice sheet, the designs, reference sheet. And so at the farmer's market here, we invite everyone to come by and work with Emma here who's a classically trained artist. She sets you up and we can get started. It's nice relaxing, meditative. Well, that's what I was thinking. It's great for kids, but it's also great for adults. It's art therapy, right? If you could explain, you know the benefits of that. Exactly. So, so by painting, you can take your time. You get to explore your creativity, you go into the zone. Really? I've heard some people say like the second they put the paint brush down, everything goes quiet yet you hear that noise, just disappear. And what's so nice about this is, it's perfect timing to start with Christmas. You know, gonna get these, you can put them in your stockings. They're stocking stock for Hanukkah one day, one for every eight days. And then we have these great glow ups here. These are fun for the kids. These are glow in the dark. So, what's the glow in the dark as we wrap up this part of the tour? So these are some of the market favorites. The kids go crazy for this one. It's a spinner. Yeah, it's a little octopus. We've got some really, these are nature inspired animals. Everything about this is nature inspired and I would definitely hope that our viewers check you out. Kimberly Buck joins us, live from West New York. So Kimberly, what local vendors will be there today? And what are you trying out? Yes, good morning. We are moving right along on our tour of the farmers market. Set up at 2 p.m. through six. I'm here with Lydia Alexis of Alexis Naturals. And if you are somebody that is a big believer in herbal remedies, this is a must see. So I know you got started in about 2020. You've always practiced herbal remedies. So tell us about this. Yes, growing up in the Caribbean and Lucia, that was just part of life. So when I got the opportunity to my business, I figured I wanted to start it and also teach people about the benefits. So it's not just about saying, oh, this is good for something but also the benefits. That's why I list all the health benefits at the back. For instance, this is my best seller. It's an anti inflammatory, which also has turmeric and a lot of people think like turmeric is great for you. But if you're on a blood thinner, like Warfarin, I have like hair. Turmeric is an anticoagulant. So it is not good for you to contra indicate that great to know. Yeah. And there's so many different things. You have essential oils. You have teas, we even have, it's a co co in a natural form and this is a great way. We prepare it in ST Lucia and I include a recipe that I give all my customers. So then they will know how to prepare to you. Boil it with spices like cinnamon, bay leaf cloves. And we call it, we call it Coco tea. Are they offering dogs that you think it's like cookies or an ice cream truck? But we actually with to eat, this is K and tell this is, and this is Norman to play is a 23 year old, he was a rescue. So a 23 year old French bulldog and this is little, no, he's our little chef and a two year old multi. And so tell us about this. So someone approaches your truck, they know exactly what's going on. Yeah. So we have an assortment of goodies for all of the dogs. We've got donuts cookies back treats. You name it. We've got it like topping I everything. Yeah, everything is made with high quality human great ingredients and it's healthy for the dogs. And there's, there's something for everyone really. So tell us when you, when you were telling me that your business beyond the farmers market where you located and how was the business really started? So the business was started. I just needed a change of pace. Really? I am a groomer. I own another grooming business or not up in the park, New Jersey called Factory. And I got a great name. We like fun. So, so we, I just wanted to do something different and I kind of fell in love with dog food. I want clean enough. And so that to be, we've been in business about a year and a half. We bought around lots of different places. Farmers market street event. We host a yappy hour in Hoboken once a month every first Friday of the month at the Ale House there. Yes. So we're kind of all over the place. I was going to say so anywhere you go, you might run into grooming to eat and you know, folks, when you're out here, you're grabbing your honey. You'll have some such oil Mex food as we are trying next. But make sure this is the dog you treat will send it back to you in studio Kimberly B 12 J.

News Twelve's Kimberly Buck is joining us from West New York. Kimberly. What local vendors are you checking out today? This is the perfect way to end our tour of this farmers market. We are at a brand new food truck. This is a guy that they or pronouncing it, right. Thank you for having us. This is a family business. Tell us about what you have here. This is bringing people in and the farmers market doesn't start to. So we sell Mexican food and we have burritos tacos. This is handmade tortillas that we do. So it's freshly made. We also have quesadillas and Mexican sandwiches, Tortas and it's a variety of rice and beans, steak, chicken, pork. Yes, seasoned pork. We have, we have all types of meat. We also have Birria, which is very nice and then we also have awesome. So you'll be here 2 to 6 in a brand new food to be out of Jersey City too. So if you love them, you're going to want to come back and you're going to come see Kat and her family. So we're going to send it back to studio.
