Con Edison will be conducting gas line work throughout the Village of Tarrytown beginning today.
East Sunnyside Lane will be closed at Route 9 for gas construction restoration work. The closure will be in effect Monday through Friday from about 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Village officials have stated that school buses and emergency vehicles will still be able to enter East Sunnyside through Route 9, but all residential and hotel traffic must enter from Taxter Road during the hours of Con Edison's work. Irvington and Tarrytown police officers will be present to assist with traffic control.
Officials also mentioned that as the work continues, the traffic plan will be updated.
The project is anticipated to last 3 to 4 weeks.
